Prototyping is a critical design process that goes beyond assumption-based decision-making, playing a key role in validating usability and technical feasibility. By translating ideas into tangible forms, it enables more objective evaluation, allows potential issues to be identified at an early stage, and helps refine design decisions with greater clarity. Through this iterative validation process, design moves beyond visual refinement and is developed into solutions that function effectively in real-world conditions. In the early stages of a project, efficient methods such as speed forms and 3D printing are used to rapidly assess fundamental aspects including usability, proportion, and ergonomics, with a focus on minimizing unnecessary risks upfront. This approach allows core directions to be established early and supports a more stable transition into subsequent phases. In later stages, collaboration with specialized model-making partners enables the development of high-fidelity visual and working mock-ups that accurately reflect the form, materials, and finish of mass-produced products. This comprehensive prototyping support creates a seamless connection from concept validation through production readiness, strengthening confidence in both design intent and technical feasibility.

Drawing on extensive experience across diverse design disciplines and direct involvement in mass production, I pursue a design approach that goes beyond visual refinement alone.
