Developed for PILMOA, a lifestyle brand committed to precision thermal engineering, this project responds to the surging cultural shift toward "large-format" beverage consumption. As the demand for high-capacity coffee and hydration grows, we sought to create a stylish, high-performance tumbler that balances massive volume with sophisticated design—moving beyond the clumsy proportions typical of the "mega-cup" category.

We proposed two distinct visual identities defined by their finish materiality. The Extreme Line features a raw, metallic finish that evokes a rugged outdoor spirit, while the Urban Line utilizes premium matte-powder coatings for a refined, modern architectural feel. Although their external narratives differ, the internal architecture remains identical, ensuring universal component compatibility across both lines—a strategic move for both manufacturing efficiency and user convenience.

The silhouette is defined by a fluid, tapered base that transitions seamlessly into a wider upper body. This lower profile was rigorously tested to ensure a universal fit for vehicle cup holders while maintaining a natural, secure grip. At the base, we integrated PILMOA’s signature bold decagonal '10-sided' pattern. This structural geometry creates a striking visual counterpoint to the vessel’s smooth curves while providing a tactile "anti-slip" texture that enhances grip—further reinforcing a consistent brand DNA across the entire product ecosystem.

The most disruptive innovation of this project lies in its lid. Driven by the client’s unwavering focus on thermal retention, we collaborated closely with engineers to solve the "lid-loss" problem, where the most heat is traditionally lost. The result is a proprietary Hybrid Lid: a breakthrough design that preserves the intuitive convenience of a standard flip-top tumbler while incorporating the thick, double-layered insulation of a professional thermos. This ensures industry-leading cold and heat retention without compromising ease of use.

The success of the 1000ml tumbler served as the foundation for a complete hydration ecosystem. By extending the same visual DNA—the rhythmic patterns, signature curves, and hybrid closure technology—we expanded the lineup to include 2000ml and 4000ml high-capacity water jugs. This expansion successfully positions PILMOA as a leader in the outdoor and camping markets, offering a comprehensive, professional-grade solution for users who refuse to compromise on either style or thermal integrity.
