We envisioned a stool shaped around a quiet, tripod-like balance—its legs divided into three gentle modules that come together with a sense of crafted intention. The design focuses on the beauty of essential forms, where each component is stripped of excess to reveal a silhouette that feels both grounded and light.
At the heart of the structure lies a precisely carved wooden joinery detail, hidden within the meeting points of the modules. This internal logic allows the stool to lock firmly into place without a single nail or screw, relying instead on the warmth and physical integrity of the timber itself. It is a tribute to traditional craftsmanship, translated into a contemporary, minimal language.
By modularizing the legs, the making process becomes more thoughtful and intuitive. This approach does more than simplify assembly; it creates a versatile design system. The modular base can easily adapt to meet tabletops of different sizes and silhouettes, allowing for a cohesive family of variations—from intimate stools to expansive side tables.
The result is a soft, refined object that avoids the noise of over-design. It is a piece built to age gracefully, blending seamlessly into everyday spaces while offering a subtle, tactile presence that invites closer inspection. Consistent and honest, it celebrates the harmony between modular efficiency and the timeless character of natural wood.
