In collaboration with Kohler, the definitive global leader in premium kitchen and bath solutions, we reimagined the interaction between user and technology through a novel smart toilet remote. The central catalyst for this project was modularity and scalability—shifting the remote from a static accessory to a dynamic, evolving system.

The design leverages an architectural block system to streamline manufacturing and product tiering. This modular framework allows for the efficient integration of diverse functional modules—from basic cleansing to advanced environmental controls—enabling a scalable product lineup based on market requirements. To optimize this modular versatility, we adopted a minimalist rectangular form factor with deliberately tight corner radii. This geometric purity ensures that each module aligns with absolute precision, creating a cohesive and unified silhouette regardless of the configuration.

This aesthetic direction is a direct reflection of Kohler’s iconic design DNA. By stripping away unnecessary ornamentation and focusing on refined, disciplined lines, we created a tool that feels both timeless and sophisticated. The remote’s architectural presence allows it to integrate effortlessly into any bathroom environment, harmonizing with Kohler’s diverse product portfolio without ever competing for attention.

The result is a design that balances technical versatility with aesthetic silence. It is not just a remote, but a scalable interface that prioritizes clarity, intuitive use, and a premium tactile experience, embodying Kohler’s commitment to thoughtful, human-centric innovation.
