In collaboration with Kohler, the definitive name in global premium kitchen and bath solutions, we reimagined the thermal experience of the modern bathroom. This project departs from the conventional, often intrusive forced-air heaters to introduce a wall-mounted radiant bar system. By utilizing internal thermal conduction to warm the surrounding air—much like a high-end electric radiator—this design offers a more holistic and comfortable warmth. It is specifically tailored for users who find traditional dry, blowing air unpleasant, providing a gentle "silent heat" that preserves the ambient humidity and tranquility of the space.

The system is defined by a modular, vertical-axis architecture. Identical heating bars are arranged vertically and can be expanded according to the user's spatial needs and aesthetic preferences. Each bar is anchored to the wall at a single point via a sophisticated 180-degree hinge system, allowing the other end to float freely. This structural ingenuity transforms the heater into a versatile drying rack; users can rotate the bars outward to accommodate everything from delicate towels to voluminous bathrobes, then tuck them neatly back against the wall when not in use.

Visually, the collection is a pure expression of Kohler’s iconic design DNA. We proposed two distinct profiles—a refined cylindrical section and a crisp rectangular section—both characterized by extreme formal restraint. Every detail, from the seamless hinge integration to the minimalist UI, was meticulously engineered to ensure visual continuity. The interface is tucked away with subtle precision, maintaining a silhouette that is as intuitive to operate as it is beautiful to observe.

The result is a design that transcends mere utility. It does not simply "fill a space" but integrates seamlessly into the architectural fabric of the bathroom. Even when inactive, the bars serve as sculptural accents that harmonize with the environment, embodying a perfect synthesis of premium material honesty and human-centric functionality. This project represents a shift toward atmospheric wellness, where technical performance and interior elegance coexist in effortless balance.
