After years of relying on ODM-based products, LG set out to develop its first printer built entirely on its own proprietary technology. This marked a strategic shift—from adopting existing solutions to defining an independent product identity—and our team was commissioned to lead the design of this inaugural model. Despite its compact footprint, the printer is equipped with a powerful engine that delivers fast and reliable print performance. The design focuses on clearly expressing this contrast: a small, efficient form factor balanced with a sense of stability and robustness. Clean surfaces and controlled proportions reinforce a solid presence without visual heaviness. In line with the minimalist design language, functional elements such as the door handle are seamlessly integrated into the overall form. While visually restrained and almost hidden, these details are shaped intuitively to ensure effortless use. The result is a refined, purpose-driven design that reflects LG’s technological independence while establishing a clear foundation for its future printer lineup.
